You will upset people by sharing the Gospel.

If you thought you had a cure for cancer, you would be a monster not to share it. As Christians, we have something even more urgent to share. We know that if someone does not receive the news that we have, they will spend an eternity in Hell. That does not mean that we should not consider the other person and prayerfully think of when to talk to them. Witnessing is supposed to be a show of love. If your neighbor is mowing his yard, or watching his child in a sports game, it may not be loving to interrupt and try to have a deep discussion. It may be simply, “can I talk to you about something important to me later?”

People will not always accept the goodnews easily. Just look to the New Testament. People do not like having the light reveal their darkness. When you are sharing the Gospel, think about who you would rather be offended. That is your encouragement. Would you rather that person be offended for hearing the truth, or would you rather God be offended at that person's sins?

“If the Christian Gospel is true, everything else is a lie.”
